What does commitment to racial equity and inclusion really mean? Our values and beliefs are usually reflected in the way we spend our time, energy, and money. This challenge is all about creating respect for diversity and the practice of inclusion and social justice a habit and part of the culture of our local nonprofit sector.

The 21-Day Challenge will start on January 14, 2021 and conclude on February 3, 2021. We will also host two virtual Coffee & Conversations to provide a safe space for discussion and checking in.

What is this challenge about?

We are asking that you take 21-days to challenge yourself to learn something new, do something meaningful or connect with others about racial equity and inclusion.  Additionally, we want you to take what you learn and do, and use it within your own organizations, as a board member, a volunteer, a staff member, or as a stakeholder, to make your nonprofit more diverse, more equitable, more inclusive and a practitioner of social justice.  Each day the Center for Nonprofit Management & Leadership at MSU will offer recommendations on something to read, to listen to, a video to watch, or an organization to follow – you pick your own activity.  Pick at least one thing to engage with each day, reflect on your role in promoting racial equity and then act within your sphere of influence within the nonprofit sector.
