Degree Program

NONPROFIT MANAGEMENT MINOR

The nonprofit management minor is designed to create a pipeline of trained nonprofit leaders into the nonprofit and business sector. As a signature minor, this program applies to a range of degrees at MSU Texas and add relevance and marketability to our graduates.

The Dillard College of Business Administration, an 88,000-square-foot facility enhanced with state-of-the-art instructional technology, is the home of the nonprofit management minor. Three core courses comprise the foundation of nonprofit leadership and management knowledge and count for 9 hours toward the 15-hour minor

CORE COURSES

  • BUAD 3603 Business Practices for Nonprofits
  • MGMT 3613 Nonprofit Organizations & Society
  • MGMT 3623 Strategic & Human Management of Nonprofit Organizations

Two additional elective courses are targeted at building management skills or domain knowledge. More than 30 existing MSU Texas courses have been identified that count toward these credits.
