Together We Make a Difference

Together We Make a Difference has been a cornerstone event for over 20 years, bringing together teams from local high schools and Midwestern State University for a morning of impactful volunteer work. On a Saturday in October, from 9 AM to noon, volunteers contribute their time and energy to support local nonprofit organizations.

The impact is significant—both financially and socially. In 2023 alone, the volunteer hours were valued at over $130,000. More importantly, the event fosters a culture of service, inspiring the next generation of leaders to recognize the power of collective action in strengthening their schools, university, and community.

From community clean-ups and beautification efforts to food distribution and organizational support, volunteers take on projects that meet immediate needs and advance the missions of nonprofit partners. The day is a testament to the power of teamwork and the lasting impact of service.
